Singapore in 3 days: a first-timer's city guide

Gardens, hawker feasts and skyline views — how to see the best of Singapore in a tight, walkable three days.

Singapore in 3 days: a first-timer's city guide

Singapore is the easiest, most polished first taste of Asia — spotless, safe, and small enough to see properly in three days. Here’s a route that balances the icons with the food that makes the city tick.

Day 1: Marina Bay & the gardens

Start at Marina Bay — the waterfront promenade, the ArtScience Museum, and Gardens by the Bay for the Cloud Forest dome and the Supertree light show after dark. End the day with a drink overlooking the bay as the skyline lights up.

Time the Supertree “Garden Rhapsody” show for 7:45pm — it’s free and genuinely magical.

Day 2: Culture & hawker food

Wander Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam — three neighbourhoods, three completely different moods, all within a short ride of each other. Eat your way through a hawker centre (Maxwell or Lau Pa Sat); it’s some of the best-value great food anywhere.

Day 3: Sentosa or the zoo

Pick your speed. Sentosa for beaches, Universal Studios and cable cars — great with kids. Or the Singapore Zoo and River Wonders for one of the world’s best wildlife parks. Either fills a happy final day.

Practical notes

  • When to go: year-round; February to April is driest. Expect warm, humid days and quick afternoon showers.
  • Visa: Indian passport holders need a Singapore e-Visa, arranged in advance through an authorised agent — we handle it in the package. Reconfirm current rules before booking.
  • Flights: roughly 5h 30m from most Indian metros.

Great as a standalone city break or paired with Malaysia or Bali. Tell us your dates and we’ll build the whole thing.
