UAE, Thailand & Vietnam: 2026 visa rules for Indians

A plain-English rundown of how Indian passport holders enter three of our most-booked destinations — and the recent changes worth knowing.

UAE, Thailand & Vietnam: 2026 visa rules for Indians

Visa rules change often, and a few of our most-booked destinations have moved in travellers’ favour lately. Here’s the current picture for Indian passport holders — always reconfirm before you ticket, as governments update these without much notice.

UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi)

Indians typically travel on a pre-arranged e-Visa, usually arranged through the airline or your travel partner before departure. Holders of a valid US, UK or Schengen visa (or residence) may qualify for visa on arrival — worth checking, as it’s the simplest route.

When we package the UAE, the visa is handled for you — one less thing to chase.

Thailand

As of 2024, Indian passport holders enjoy visa-free entry for up to 60 days — a big, welcome change that makes longer and twin-centre trips far easier. Carry proof of onward travel and funds.

Vietnam

Vietnam runs a straightforward e-Visa (up to 90 days), applied for online in advance. Approval usually comes within a few working days; apply at least a week ahead to be safe.

The golden rules

  • Passport validity: keep at least six months beyond your travel dates.
  • Apply early: especially in peak season, and never book non-refundable flights before approval where a pre-arrival visa is needed.
  • Reconfirm: rules genuinely change — check the current requirement close to travel, or let our visa desk confirm it for you.

Planning any of these? We’ll fold the visa straight into your package.
